Briefly, I’m also officially on Facebook.

I wasn’t actually planning on making an associated facebook page, but I noticed guitar and poetry nonsense was really taking over my personal FB page, so figured it was called for. I’m combining the two blogs on the FB page, so it will be an assortment of music stuff, poetry stuff, and just general arts stuff. I don’t have enough going on on the two blogs individually to justify each of them having their own facebook page, really.

I’ll be posting some mini-thoughts that aren’t really blog-worthy. (example, I threw up a couple WIP pics of the two crap guitars I’ve been working on rebuilding. Once I’m done and have a final verdict on how they turned out, I’ll write a proper blog post about them, complete with pictures, but for the time being I’m not going to talk about them here. It’s these little nonsense things that will end up on facebook, and links to the poems.

I’ve also added social media links to both blogs (facebook, youtube, and twitter. It’s probably not worth bothering with the twitter, it’s just regurgitated youtube links and cats. Lots of cats. I’ve decided cute animal pictures are about the only thing twitter is good for, but I exist there, so I acknowledge that existence. I barely know how to use it though, and almost never check it.)

So, if you are so inclined, you can find me yammering on about music and the arts on Facebook, here: http://www.facebook.com/shelbystronger

I’ll be linking to my blog posts there as well, since my FB circle doesn’t check wordpress unless I give them things to click on.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled blogging.

  1. You can use the Publicize settings on WordPress to link to FB and Twitter. When you write a blog entry, you have the option to have it automatically published to them. I just started doing that 2 months ago. I also started a Twitter account a month ago, but I never use it. Someday, I’ll take the time to see how that works. I don’t even think I mentioned it on my blog yet.

    1. I will have to check that out. I never even noticed the publicize settings.

Twitter is a weird, annoying, time-sucker, but people love it. Go figure. I barely know how to use it, either. Mostly, I only open it to look at animal pictures when I need a quick de-stressor on the go. Lol. I have yet to really figure it out beyond that.

  2. Heh. My sister does that a lot – using cuddly animal pics to de-stress. I remember loading a pic on a web page with a tarantula on her laptop once, and when she came back and woke it up, she ended up running at me and ranting about how I’d ruined things for her and how everything that’s small and furry should be cute, but this was an affront to all that’s tiny and loveable, or some such.
